Hello Parents and Students,
Welcome back to school, virtually! This is a different time and all of us (parents, teachers and students alike) are trying our best to accommodate the measures that were put in place. Because of this, school will look a little different now. As long as we all work together, we should have no problem continuing our education. Before I go through my expectations and class procedures, I want you all to remember that the entire country is trying to do exactly what we are. Therefore, please don’t worry or stress about getting behind in school. Everyone is in the same boat so all we can do is work on reviewing what we have learned so we have a solid understanding moving forward. Google Classroom: Hopefully you have all received an email about google classroom prior to our extended spring break. ALL students should have logged into their class periods google classroom, and if you haven’t yet, your school email should have an invite waiting for you. Google classroom will be the platform that I will post all assignments and activities. I will post all of the assignments for the week at once. They will be posted Monday mornings at 8:30 am. Everything will be due by the end of each week. I will be using the “End of the Week” reflection forms as a way to “report” attendance. Following district AND state policies, work will not be graded and will only be a review of content learned already this year. The first assignment for our new learning process will be posted Tuesday evening (March 31st), and will be due Friday (April 2nd). Here are some expectations for students: 1. Please log in at least twice a week to complete assignments. All PDFs that I load onto google classroom will be editable – meaning you can type your answers right on the document. 2. Submit everything to google classroom. If it is an assignment, please submit it. I will make sure to respond to you with feedback as quick as possible. Parents: If you would like to be added as a guardian for google classroom, please email back your preferred email address, students first/last name, and period number. Here are the class periods again if you need them: Period 1: wvzdu5h Period 3: s2qwdpd Period 4: rmjnm62 Period 5: g4nsz6t Period 6: tjxccfn Office Hours: I will be available every day (Monday through Friday) from 10-11 am. During this time, parents and students can email me any questions to get an immediate response, call/text me @ 971-238-7860, or request a virtual face to face meeting. These hours may change after May 1 if we are still virtually teaching. You can also request a meeting time outside of these hours. If you wish to do this, please email me your request and I’ll try my best to accommodate. You can also click the following link to schedule an appointment with me here.
